I’ve yet to hear any of it, and god willing, I never will. I swore I wouldn't make that mistake with Chester’s STP, or the new guy for that matter. I once made the mistake of listening to Limp Bizkit covering Metallica’s Sanitarium(which I once loved), and try as I may, I’ve never been able to unhear it, and I think a little piece of me died that day. It was a bad joke I beat into the ground for years, and then it happened. I despised LB, and Linkin Park especially, as did my brother(another STP diehard), and I used to bust his balls, jokingly telling him that Fred Durst or Chester replaced Scott Weiland. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I guess that’s the point when I officially got old (at age 14), and no longer identified with the popular rock music of the day. I was so spoiled, I just expected I’d like most everything that was coming out.īut that all started coming to an end for me with the Korns, Limp Bizkits and Linkin Parks of the world. Seems like every album I was buying, from ’88-’95 or so couldn’t miss.

I bought Talk Show, Army of Anyone, Velvet Revolver, Scott’s solo albums, but after that 2010 self-titled is when STP and myself sadly had to part ways, ha.

Rest of the catalogue probably leans more towards miss than hit for me, but STP, and Scott solo were among my very favorite live performers up until the very end. I never tire of Core through Tiny, and hold that 3 album run up with the best of ‘em.
